My absolute must have and a must have for any mother expecting or raising is Holy Cow! This stuff is better than 409 and Shout when it comes to scrubbing grime on counters, clothes, you name it. Totally organic so safe for the little ones and biodegradable....good for the environment too.

As you know, since having Hannah, I've started taking Zoloft to help me deal with all the stress. It's helpful but it's aggravating to not be able to climax. My cousin (chnnature.blogspot.com) said she had the same problem but switched to Lexapro, & can still remain sane & still climax. She's advised to me ask others since not every one is the same (duh), so since you've mentioned taking it, I was wondering what you'd recommend for the sake of sexual sanity.

Those soothie pacifiers were a GODSEND the first few weeks with my son! They were the only ones he would take until he rejected all pacis!

I HATED Tums with a passion!! I was so sick of those little chalky bastards. My doc let me use Zantac because it got so bad that I would wake up choking on my own stomach acids at night. My reflux was bad. I sooooo do not miss that!!!

I never tried the smoothie version. No, wait I did! I had one! My mom had the smoothies version and I was DESPERATE! They were definitely less chalky but I think the flavor was something like banana peach...not so great with my all day sickness! :)
I sort of developed a taste for Tums on the whole by the end of my pregnancy and I was a little sad to see them go!

Potty Training..... seeing the clip of the Potty Whisperer made me think about potty training my uninterested(and must add STRONG WILLED) 2.75 year old. I have been holding off because I was pregnant, but now have had the baby a month ago. What is your opinion, do you wait until they are ready or do it Potty Whisperer style. My daughter is totally aware of when she is making her diaper wet/dirty. She will sit on the potty, then say,"mom just get me a diaper to pee/poop in." She has not gone in the potty at all. She sits, but nothing has happened yet. Been trying for months whenever she seems interested. Sorry for the rambling.

Thankfully, Tums doesn't rely only on the chalky texture & semi-bland flavoring anymore. They have the "smooth" texture to where it's more creamy than chalky, as well as the mint flavored tablets. Those were my favorites. Even though I didn't suffer from heartburn while being prego, I took them simply for the calcium intake. This was the easiest way to do so, especially since I don't really like to drink milk.

My wife and I decided early on that our kids would not be bottle fed. I can proudly say that despite a thriving business, our two children have not had one bottle, both breast fed from day 1. The weening issues are still there though and your advice about doing it cold turkey is right on the money.

Seriously! Too little, too late. I don't see why some women spend tons of money on expensive stretch mark solutions. FYI: They don't work any better than good old olive oil, cocoa butter, or a stick of butter, for that fact. Any emollient will help, but genetics is the true determining factor!!

Throw all of the bottles out and your hubby will not have any to sneak into the kids. Just a thought :) I'm proud of you, though. It is hard, especially w/ a new baby, to wean kids who have a habit. The longer you wait=the harder it will be to wean. I know you're not a weenie, the title just fit :)

Hey Kadi, Thank you for everything! I've taken your advice to suck it up & bag up the bottles AGAIN! It's just so sad =( It's funny that I read your blog just hours after you posted it. Thankfully, the kids are doing a lot better than I had anticipated. The two eldest, Aaron & Rachel are taking the sippy cups when they need them or not at all. The only one really having a hard time is Sarah (turning 2 on the 22nd). She cries & cries but she's taking it like a champ. Now if only I can get the Hubby to stay stronger than me. He wants to give them the bottles when they go down for the night. The did well without them last night but I found one next to my son this morning....Don't look at me, I didn't do it. =D
